come on now, hurry up, let's go down, there's the exit
take a suitcase in front, that's easier
thinking of the stairs in here you're helpless at the signs
just go and catch my dotted line
i have always been waiting for the ones who are waiting
and who never arrived
let us try to leave this building before we get built in
there's a life outside
which way round, is it shorter behind there, let's go now
we've spent years asking questions in a cloud
let's pretend we have no doubts and that the city still exists
i don't wanna die as an entry on a list
i have always been waiting for the ones who are waiting
and who never arrived
let us try to leave this building before we get built in
there's a life outside
they will never ever come
down, down we have to go

Cracks In The Pavement

your leaves still whisper
i should climb and find a home
in a vertical posture
you know i can't stand straight
so take me with you
i'll stay inside and grow with you
i will be patient
i'll watch the seasons change for you
in your shadow
promises break and deals are done
all those criminals
you've had a sweet spot for them all
you lent them dignity
putting your green crown on them
you're everyone's shelter
i wish i could tell all the stories you've heard
a perfect place to honor the twilight
so we won't forget
a threat to the architects
cracks in the pavement
they had to take you down
they had to take you down

Annerose

Unbekannte lächeln da in Sepia uns an
denn Bilder verkauft man besser stapelweise
Hochzeitskleid, Schmuckschatulle, Festtagsporzellan,
leblos, ganz still liegt sie ausgebreitet

Quelle und Echo is a duo that once went nuts about field recording as a way to re-discover the world. With their ears
trained in classical music, electronic avant-garde and pop music alike, they were fascinated by extracting rhythms and tunes out of everyday sounds.
The Berlin-based band searches for the weird side of things that might get ignored otherwise.
